Workplace Fun: Recent Employee Happenings
A lot has been going on in recent weeks both in terms of work and workplace fun! During the month of September, we resumed our annual ping pong tournament at our corporate office with our leasing specialist, Jake Venberg of the Saint Paul leasing team coming out on top. This Fall season has also called for Employee Appreciation Events. Each employee had the option to attend one of the following; a MN Twins baseball game, time in a bay at Top Golf, and a WhirlyBall arena.
1. Saint Paul Ping Pong Tournament
What started as a bracket of 16 players worked its way down to two finalists – Jake Venberg and Jacob Weinzettel, both representing the Saint Paul leasing team. Jake brought the finesse and Jacob the consistency. After two great back-and-forth games, Jake Venberg emerged victorious! He received his ping pong trophy and signed the company trophy to encapsulate this moment. Best of luck to all participants next year!
2. Fall Employee Appreciation Event #1: Twins Game
On Thursday, September 28th, a large group of AHA employees headed to Minneapolis to watch the Minnesota Twins take on the Oakland Athletics. Although the Twins lost, it was a beautiful day for baseball at Target Field. This was a cool nudge to keep the cheers going as the Twins made their long-awaited playoff run!
3. Fall Employee Appreciation Event #2: Top Golf
A day in the bay is the way! Top Golf was our largest group and for great reason. Golfers of all skill levels came together to challenge each other in Top Golf’s awesome games. Delicious food, tasty drinks, great conversation, and a little friendly competition made this day oh-so fun.
4. Fall Employee Appreciation Event #3: WhirlyBall
At AHA, we’re big fans of a little competition and a lot of fun! Some employees recently faced off in WhirlyBall, bowling, and arcade games at WhirlyBall Twin Cities. WhirlyBall’s blend of bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball made for a crowd favorite, evoking laughter, lively conversations, and cheers, creating memorable moments of teamwork and camaraderie among our team.
These fun-filled activities were not only an opportunity for employees to unwind and enjoy themselves but also a reflection of our commitment to maintaining a well-balanced work-life dynamic. We believe that moments like these not only boost morale but also encourage creativity, innovation, and improved communication within our team. They create lasting memories and stories that employees will share with each other, further solidifying the bonds that make AHA a great place to work.
